Podcast & post-production

Raw tape becomes an episode people finish: clear voices, tight edits, music and chapter markers — whether you record at our table or send remote takes from home.

Two podcast hosts at a table with microphones, engineer behind glass.

Podcast production rarely ends at stop. Pauses, retakes, room noise and uneven mic levels need an experienced edit. On Siebensterngasse, Mugwetkyro handles spoken shows for companies, media and indie hosts — from weekly releases to seasonal series.

Record here (vocals & voice at the table with an engineer) or deliver finished tracks. Billing is per episode or hourly; all rates include 20% VAT. Process and liability are in our terms and conditions.

Workflow

  1. Material

Raw audio, target length, intro/outro music and chapter topics. We confirm mono or stereo, platform (RSS, YouTube, internal) and publish deadline.

  2. Edit & cleanup

Tighten dialogue, reduce breaths and clicks, duck music. Multitrack sessions from our studio use clean stems instead of destructive filters.

  3. Review

Proof with timestamps — you comment on content and clarity. 2 revision rounds on edit and level are included when agreed.

  4. Export

Final MP3/WAV with chapter markers where supported, speech-friendly loudness. Files archived 24 months then deleted per privacy policy.

Formats we edit

Interview shows, panels, internal training audio, radio pieces and narration for brand film — whenever speech is the focus. Music-heavy albums go through mixing; release loudness through mastering.

Remote interviews from Riverside, SquadCast or Zoom arrive as splits or a mix; we sanity-check quality before committing. Sessions recorded here use treated booths (2 ISO booths) and engineers who have worked at the studio since 2019.

Typical edit workflow

We structure first: intro, body, sections, outro. Then we cut off-topic passages you mark or that we filter by guideline. Long thinking pauses shorten without sounding rushed — rhythm matters more than radio pace.

With multiple speakers we balance level and EQ so no one disappears. Music and stingers sit under or between lines with ducking so words stay intelligible.

Noise, room and mic issues

De-noise and de-reverb are applied carefully. HVAC hum can often be saved; clipped Zoom echo sometimes cannot — then we discuss retakes or acceptance. New hosts: our prepare vocals for studio guide helps podcast voices too.

  • Plosives and sibilance handled with EQ and manual edits
  • No synthetic “AI voice” without explicit commission
  • No falsifying content — edits are editorial, not deceptive

Chapters, tags and platforms

For Apple Podcasts and compatible apps we export chapter markers (titles from you). ID3 tags with title, episode number and cover art on request — you supply art; we skip embedding if rights are unclear.

YouTube cuts can tolerate longer intros; RSS feeds often prefer shorter opens. Variants are add-ons or billed at €92 hourly.

Episode vs hourly pricing

The episode package €235 covers up to 45 minutes of raw continuous conversation — edit, cleanup, level and one export. Several short pieces the same week can bundle; longer raw runs go hourly or with a surcharge.

Location, on-site and remote

Studio at Siebensterngasse 19, 1070 Wien — U3 Neubaugasse station, Siebensterngasse exit — about three minutes on foot to Siebensterngasse 19. Bus line 13A stops at Neubaugasse / Burggasse (around five minutes on foot).. Hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00, closed on Sunday.. Phone +43 1 996 42 18.

Many clients send files only; others record at the round table with an engineer and leave with raw material while the finished show is cut afterward. Both paths use the same Neubau team.

For recurring seasons we agree a naming scheme and folder structure up front so episode 12 is as smooth as episode 1. That small planning step saves back-and-forth when deadlines stack on Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–16 weeks.

FAQ

How should I prep raw audio for editing?

One track per speaker is ideal, 24-bit WAV, aligned. Mark rough cuts on the timeline or in a list — that saves time on the €92 hourly rate.

Do you edit video podcasts?

Our focus is audio. Video sync is not in the standard episode fee; ask about partner workflows or audio-only hourly support.

What about music rights for intro and outro?

Supply licensed tracks or stock with proof. Custom jingles are not in the episode fee — request production via contact.

Do you edit English-language shows?

Yes. We work in English and German on projects; German is legally authoritative on contracts, English communication is common.

Where are general studio questions answered?

See the site FAQ on booking, payment and gear. Service-specific points we cover in the first call.
